Picking the best pizza in Gilbert can be challenging especially since this town has grown more than ever! With such a vast array of restaurants, from locally owned to corporations, I’ve done my best to showcase my top 5 picks in hopes of narrowing down the best of the best. Without further ado and in no particular order, here are my favorites when it comes to the best pizza in town.

Sal’s Gilbert Pizza: Gilbert Rd. in between Ray and Warner Rd.

Opened in 2006, Sal and Grace have brought the taste of New York right to our town of Gilbert. They both have been providing homemade and affordable pizzas using the finest ingredients. They were also featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri and even showcase their very own plaque in the restaurant; clearly showing Guy Fieri’s mark of approval. They are best known for their baked ziti pizza and complimentary garlic knots!

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria: 202 Freeway and Williamsfield Rd.

First opened in 1990 near the Brooklyn Bridge, we are so happy they decided to open a Grimaldi’s at the San Tan Mall next to Dick’s Sporting Goods. Just steps away from the shops of San Tan, this pizzeria offers high quality pizzas using coal-fired brick ovens which offers a unique flavor and crisp crust. My personal favorites is just a regular pizza with pepperoni and sprinkling a dash of freshly sliced basil right on top. Additionally, their service is top knotch so dining in is always a wonderful experience to share with your family! Tip: Make sure to sign up to get their emails because on your birthdays, they offer a free pizza!

Casanova Brothers Pizza: Val Vista Rd. and Guadalupe Rd.

The Casanova brothers, Michael and Anthony, both opened this family-friendly pizzeria in 2008 and I’m so glad they did. Their custom service is unparalleled and very personable. Their dining area can seat large families and their white pizza by the slice as well as a regular pepperoni pizza will take you straight to New York. With almost 910 Yelp reviews and rated 4.5/5, it’s clear these guys know what they are doing when it comes to quality pizzas!

Fire and Brimstone: Higley and Ray Rd.

If you’re looking for a unique atmosphere to meet some friends and daring to try new flavors on your pizza, this could be the place for you. Located in the Joe’s Farm Grill area, Fire and Brimstone offers pizza with bold and daring flavor combinations such as its famous The Fire and Brimstone Pizza (spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, jalapeños, house-made merguez sausage and cilantro with an optional fried egg). It’s delicious and a great place to check out if you’re looking for something different.

Pomo Pizzeria: Gilbert Rd. in between Elliot and Guadalupe Rd.

Located right in the middle of Heritage District, otherwise known as Old Town Gilbert, is this charming pizzeria that takes pride in their authentic neapolitan pizza embracing the traditions of old Italy flavors. The ambiance is great for dining in with family and friends. My personal favorite pizza is their classic Margherita and although simple with minimal ingredients, the flavors and quality is amazing!
